Scrum
Unlike Modified Waterfall, Spiral, and
"Iterative" methods whose basic blocks are the same, well-defined,
blocks used in Classical Waterfall, the SCRUM approach incorporates a
phase (called the Sprint phase) where the analysis, design, and
development processes are not well defined, or unpredictable. A control
mechanism is used to manage the unpredictability and control the risk.
This results in flexibility, responsiveness, and reliability. This model
is appropriate to projects with uncertain requirement and environment.
